When I get home I will have a lot of interesting things to say about this expedition. I think the coolest thing about this expedition is the dolphins. When we were canoeing in the Gulf of Mexico there were dolphins that came right up to us (more like 10-20 feet away but still). I also caught 5 fish... I think. I caught 2 Flounder and 3 Jack fish. The flounder was 1.5 feet long. I also found my first sand dollar on Lulu beach. Since I live in Minnesota, I don’t go to the ocean a lot so finding that sand dollar was pretty sick. This trip was one of my favorite back county trips because we got to be in the Everglades and canoeing in the ocean. Judson taught us a lot about the history of Florida. He also taught us about native foods you can eat. I ate cactus berries for the first time. This trip has been one of the best trips i’ve been on and I hope to go to the Everglades again sometime soon.
